Fuel Dilution

Fuel dilution is an important consideration in engine oil performance, and ultimately one of the key reasons oil changes are required. Gas chromatography is the currently accepted method for determining fuel dilution in engine oils. Although workable, it is not practical from the standpoint of obtaining real-time fuel dilution data.
